• Olive oil — rich in squalene, deeply conditioning, gentle enough for sensitive skin
• Coconut oil — creates that satisfying lather, naturally cleansing
• Shea butter — locks in moisture, soothes irritation
• Castor oil — boosts lather and adds a silky feel

No sulfates. No synthetic detergents. No mystery fragrance compounds. Just oils, lye (which fully saponifies — there's none left in the final bar), and botanicals.

Why It Took Me a While to Get Here

I didn't start Verde because I wanted to start a business. I started it because my skin was a mess and nothing worked.

I spent years cycling through products — sensitive formulas, fragrance-free bars, expensive brands — and my skin stayed dry, reactive, and unhappy. When I finally made my first batch of cold-process soap, I used it for a week and realized: I hadn't needed lotion once.
